Product-Testing Disclosure
We believe you deserve to know exactly how much hands-on evidence sits behind any recommendation. This page defines the labels we use so nothing is ambiguous.
Current status: PlungeWise does not physically test the cold plunge products it compares. All current comparisons are research-based. We will label any genuine first-hand testing explicitly if and when it happens.
What our labels mean
- Physically tested by PlungeWise — we owned/used the product and measured or observed it directly. Used only with documented evidence (photos, conditions, dates). Not currently in use.
- Research-based comparison — built from published specifications, manuals, warranty and return documents, and independently published information. No first-hand testing.
- Manufacturer specifications verified — key specs were checked against the brand's current official product page.
- Independent testing referenced — we cite measurements published by a third party, clearly attributed.
- Product not physically tested — a plain statement, used wherever it applies.
What we will never do
We will never write "in our testing," invent cooling times, noise levels, electricity readings, setup or cleaning experiences, durability observations, or present AI-generated or manufacturer imagery as our own first-hand product photography.
